What keeps me going when I feel Global Development efforts are not enough?

The People.

Why the people?                                                                                                       

Because they Matter.

The Impact is for Families and Future Generations to Thrive.

When I am questioning my work, I know I need to go to the field and talk to participants. 

They always remind me why it matters. 

The relationships are never forgotten near or far when someone thanks you for water, for learning a new skill, or for facilitating access to a bank or a loan to name but a few.  No one ever forgets the support.  It changes lives.

In the photo, I am pictured in Northern Uganda speaking to women who just received a training in Climate Smart Agricultural farming practices, along with access to improved seeds and farming as a business training. They are thanking me for including them in the training. 

This is what Global Development is about – People and the Impact on People’s lives.
